4-H & FFA Weekend in Aggieland
Weekend in Aggieland is a signature annual event at Texas A&M University, celebrating and supporting youth involved in 4‑H and FFA programs across Texas.
4-H Day at the Capitol
This day is designed for 4-H members to learn more about our state legislative process, see our legislators in session, and to visit with their respective elected officials.
FCS National Championship & Conference
The 4-H Family and Consumer Science National Championship and Conference is an event that provides 4-H members the opportunity to compete on a national stage against their peers from across the country.
GLOBE
GLOBE is a multi-faceted program for youth in grades 7–11 to develop an understanding of poverty and what it looks like in various communities, while also exploring culture, learning about sustainable agricultural practices, building personal leadership skills, and taking action to address issues within the community.
International Exchange
In participation of this event, 4-H members and families can expect to learn about the culture of others, share their culture with others, expand their communication skills, learn to cooperate with others.
National 4-H Conference
National 4-H Conference is the Secretary of Agriculture’s premiere youth development opportunity to engage youth in developing recommendations for the 4-H Youth Development Program.
National 4-H Congress
National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the National 4-H program. Each year a National Design Team of Extension educators, 4-H youth, and 4-H adult volunteers analyze current youth issues and determine the most effective ways to address them.
National 4-H Week
National 4-H Week is celebrated annually during the first full week of October to recognize the impact of 4-H, the nation’s largest youth development program.
National Food Challenge
The National Food Challenge provides a place for youth to compete at the national level.
Night at NASA
The 4-H Night at NASA is an exciting overnight educational experience designed to immerse youth and their families in the wonders of space exploration and STEM learning.
Oneday 4-H
Texas 4-H members take pride in the communities they call home. Whether they live in cities, towns, or rural areas, 4-H’ers work year-round to make their communities better, and they rely on help to do it.
Outdoor Challenge
This contest consists of 10 events where teams compete to earn points for overall high point position. A team consists of exactly 2 members within the same age division and gender class.
Rabbit Extravaganza
The Extravaganza is a State-wide educational event and competition that is organized and hosted by the Texas 4-H Rabbit Advisory Board. The event is open to enrolled Texas 4-H members of official 4-H age.
Shooting Sports Extravaganza
If you’re new to shooting sports, this is the place to start! The Shooting Sports Extravaganza is a beginner’s match and learning event.
Shooting Sports Events
If you enjoy the outdoors and hunting, you’ll love the shooting sports project! This project covers firearm safety and teaches responsible handling and use.
Shooting Sports State Games
The Shooting Sports State Games welcome all 4-H members—no need to qualify! Just stay active in a shooting sports project at your local club with a coach, and you’re in.
State 4-H Dog Show
The Texas 4-H Dog Show specifically focuses on dog-related activities and competitions involving 4-H members and their dogs. Participants may compete in various categories, such as obedience, showmanship, rally, and more, depending on the specific rules and events organized by the Texas 4-H program.
SPARK
Join the Texas 4-H Council members in November for SPARK (formerly Junior Leadership Retreat), the premiere statewide leadership retreat for junior and intermediate level 4-H members!! 4-H members will have the opportunity to spark their interest through service-learning activities, project experiences, art and crafts, recreation, and knowledge.
State 4-H Horse Show
The Texas State 4-H Horse Show is the pinnacle of the 4-H horse project and offers many opportunities to 4-H youth including up to 40 classes of competition, educational programs, scholarships, and college preparation opportunities.
State 4-H Roundup
Texas 4-H Roundup is the pinnacle event of the state 4-H program. The event consists of approximately 50 competitive events, with some of these contests requiring each individual or team to qualify at the county and district level to compete.
Texas 4-H Congress
Texas 4-H Congress is a four-day mock legislative experience for 4-H members in grades 9th to 12th. During this time, 4-H members assume the roles of legislators, lobbyists, and press corps to gain a first-hand understanding of how the legislative process works.
Texas 4-H Leadership Conference
The Texas 4-H Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., is an educational program that offers young participants from the Texas 4-H organization the opportunity to engage in a leadership-focused experience in the nation’s capital. Senior 4-H members who win first place at the Texas 4-H Record Book Judging competition.
WHEP – Wildlife Habitat Education Project
Become a nature watcher! Learn to tell the difference between different types of fish and animals by learning about animal species. Nature is all around you – no matter where you live! You will explore your natural surroundings through this project, including conservation and wildlife management.
Texas 4-H Conference Center
The Texas 4-H Conference Center offers a variety of summer opportunities geared towards all ages and interests of youth. General camps, topic-focused camps, and more! There truly is something for everyone!
