How To Join

4-H is a youth development program that offers 3rd through 12th grade youth, ages 8 to 18, a wide variety of opportunities in various project areas. 4-H offers members hands-on experiences in leadership, community service, career discovery, building connections, and developing life-long skills.

  • 4-H Members

The Texas 4-H Energy project sparks the interest of youth in the dynamic field of energy, exploring renewable and nonrenewable sources, energy conservation, and innovative technologies, fostering a sustainable mindset.

  • Introduction to the basic concepts of energy and its forms.
  • Understanding renewable and non- renewable energy sources.
  • Basics of energy conservation and efficiency in homes and schools.
  • Simple experiments demonstrating energy principles.
  • Exploration of the local energy infrastructure and its impact.
