The Dog Show is open to any 4-H member in Texas. Exhibitors (or their immediate families) must have owned dogs they intend to show for at least 60 days prior to the show. Shot records are required. The show stresses teamwork and follows American Kennel Club classes and procedures but is not sanctioned by the AKC. Beginning dogs are entered in prenovice classes and more advanced dogs are entered in more demanding classes. Each class has set commands and conditions under which the dog is expected to perform.
The show is hosted by interested volunteers at tje Triple Crown Dog Academy in Hutto, TX. The show is typically held in July. Refer to the calendar for the current year’s date and location.
