RAINFALL SIMULATOR

Rainfall Simulator

The Rainfall Simulator is an outstanding way for youth to see the importance of rainfall and how it effects the soil of Texas. This module is provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and is intended to be used with youth to reveal the importance of rainfall. The simulator shows various soil terrains and uses water to reveal the differences in how varying terrains are effected by water. It is amazing the differences that the soil will go though in just ten to twelve minutes. A picture of the module is posted above. Here are the instructions for contructing a RainFall Simulator. Also included is a summary of background behind the simulator and how it has been used in some Texas counties.
